The Filliers family had a vision. Ten years ago, they casked their first batch of whisky in sherry oak, and then they were patient. A decade later, the finest whisky in Belgium was ready to be enjoyed. There was just one question left to answer: what would an authentic Belgian whisky look like?

The country’s history of blending art and science, as well as the famed Burgundian hospitality and gastronomy, informed our design for the bottle and case. Scalloped corners, fluted glass and a bell-jar bottle all drew inspiration from Belgian art nouveau and the tradition of the Apotheek.

We organised a launch celebration at Design Bridge Amsterdam on Burns Night, with a special whisky tasting and an actual bagpiper in the studio!
