Espresso House is the largest out-of-home coffee chain in the Nordics, with more than 500 outlets across Scandinavia and Germany. They wanted a new design across their packaging that celebrated a key point of uniqueness - that Espresso House coffee is especially good, with the beans graded in the top 5% for quality, and therefore given ‘specialty’ status.

The sophisticated (and competitive) Scandinavian coffee category demanded a similarly sophisticated design. We kept things smart and simple, with diagonal panelling referencing the coffee ‘pyramid’ of quality grading. The information label keeps navigation straightforward, with touches of foiling to add quality cues.
